The objective of the present Position Paper is to identify the major theoretical and practical developments dealing with Airport Capacity and Efficiency optimisation and improvement. Furthermore, it is within the scope of this document to identify and present in detail the major institutional / organizational and technical / operational factors associated with Airport Capacity and Efficiency, explore research gaps and opportunities for further airport research and developments, and specify the prevailing perceptions, attitudes and priorities of the air transport stakeholders.
